Maureen Curtiss, DI, MAECSE

With a deep love of children, I first became interested in early intervention when my son was identified as a toddler with special needs.  Having walked that walk, I knew I wanted to support others in the journey.  I first attained a BA in Elementary Education and then MA’s in Early Childhood Special Education and School Administration.  I’ve worked with kids and families at the early intervention, preschool, and elementary levels, as well, as serving as an elementary principal, traveling to Washington DC twice as part of National Blue Ribbon achievement recognition.

This is my 5th year working at Snapdragon as a developmental interventionist.  What I most enjoy is the collaboration with families to help little ones grow and develop.  It’s an intimate and exciting partnership bringing my own expertise to contribute to a team dedicated to the same child and family goals.  I support children in areas of social, cognitive, physical, communication, and adaptive (self-help skills) development.  Recently I’ve added training as an early intervention sleep specialist.
