Jennica Leftin, MAECE, DI

My name is Jennica Leftin and I am thrilled to be a part of the Snapdragon Child Development team. In my role as a Developmental Interventionist, I believe in partnering with families to learn about the hopes and dreams they have for their child, then creating a plan to achieve them. I am passionate about supporting families through this journey and am committed to being responsive and understanding to each family’s unique strengths and needs.

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Boulder for Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in Spring 2017. Following graduation, I went on to become a paraprofessional for children with an array of disabilities in different educational settings. My experience as a paraprofessional lead me to become a preschool teacher at an inclusive site, where 1/3 of classrooms were reserved for students with delays or disabilities. During my five years in the classroom, I gained a deep passion for supporting young children in reaching their fullest potential. I believe this is done by fostering their earliest experiences to be filled with feelings of acceptance, making positive connections, and gaining confidence in their own bodies and minds. As my dedication for working with young children and their families grew, I enrolled in the graduate program at the University of Colorado, Denver for Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Special Education. In December 2022, I received my Master’s degree and title as an Early Childhood Special Educator.
