Karissa Benoit, OTR/L Supervisor and Consultant

Karissa Benoit, OTR/L is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and has been practicing in pediatrics for 25 years.  She specializes in NICU graduate care, medically fragile, rare genetic disorders, feeding and swallowing, and sensory integration.  While working at a private clinic in CA, she developed and implemented a group feeding clinic for children ages 3-6.  She was also a published author for Preemie Magazine while it was in circulation.  Karissa works diligently to help families work through caring for their child after trauma, and ensures that all family members are supported throughout the process.  Teaching and empowering caregivers to meet all needs of their child is what drives her to the desire to mentor other therapists to do the same.  She strongly believes that being an in-home therapist means ongoing learning and growing in an ever changing world of pediatrics.
